Getting Started: Creating your links
There are multiple ways you can add the affiliate codes to your article, website, or publication. You can add the code into banners, customized widgets, via text links linking to the homepage or product pages, or by featuring your recommended experiences with images and text.
Your Affiliate IDs can be used for all websites. So it doesn't matter whether you've requested a code for BookYogaRetreats or Tripaneer, the code work to all of Tripaneer's websites.
Creating your links:
You can use the affiliate code to the homepage, category, styles, or destination pages, and listing pages. Make sure to use the parameter ?aid=XXXX behind every URL:
- An example of a tracked link for the homepage would be:
https://www.bookyogaretreats.com/?aid=XXXX - An example of a tracked link for a destination page (e.g. India) would be:
https://www.bookyogaretreats.com/all/d/asia-and-oceania/india?aid=XXXX - An example of a tracked link for a listing page would be:
https://www.bookyogaretreats.com/yoga-vidya-mandiram/3-days-himalayan-meditation-and-yoga-retreat-in-rishikesh-india?aid=XXXX
Using multiple parameters:
It's very important to keep in mind the way you're using the parameter (additions to your URL, like the affiliate tracking). For the first parameter, you'll start with a '?' (see links above) followed by your affiliate parameter. When you're adding multiple parameters to a link (for instance, dates, price filters etc.) all following parameters are added with a '&' instead of a '?'.
As an example: if you like to add a price filter to your links (from low to high) and arrival date, your link can look like this:
https://www.bookyogaretreats.com/?arrival_date=2019-09-15&price_option=1&aid=XXXX
You can use the parameters interchangeably, so the order of the parameters doesn't matter:
https://www.bookyogaretreats.com/?aid=XXXX&arrival_date=2019-09-15&price_option=1
When the parameters are not implemented correctly, your affiliate tracking will not be visible in your Affiliate Dashboard. Therefore, it's better to be safe than sorry, and double-check your links with the affiliate team when in doubt (affiliates@tripaneer.com).
